The Maker Studio is for all students, faculty and staff of UNMC. We encourage using this space for research, coursework, individual projects and hobbies, team/group activities, and personal wellness.
Do you need to build a model for a class? Document an assignment in progress? Are you looking for room to spread out a sewing project or cut patterns without having to clear off a table? You can do that here. Does your group project require some design thinking space? Want to save some memories from rotting away on videocassette? We can help you with that too.
The 3D printers get all the attention, but we are more than that.

The library’s Maker Studio is equipped with technology and tools for creating and prototyping educational, clinical, and research materials. Library staff facilitates access to the Maker Studio and provides workshops but may not necessarily have the skills to assist you with every project.
To be authorized to use equipment independently, users must complete an orientation and review safety materials. See Safety page for details. Once authorized, users may access the maker studio 24/7.
